Operator, Field Chemical - H2SO4 / CA / CLO2 / O2

Job Summary:

PT. Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper, Tbk. is seeking an experienced Chemical Field Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in chemical operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our chemical processes within our esteemed organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence:

• Execute chemical processes in accordance with established procedures, prioritizing safety and maintaining product quality.
• Monitor and control equipment to sustain desired production output and product specifications.
• Address operational issues promptly to minimize production downtime.

Safety and Compliance:

• Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, fostering a safe working environment.
• Comply with environmental regulations and best practices in chemical handling and disposal.
• Actively participate in safety audits and contribute to incident investigations when necessary.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet stringent quality standards.
• Promptly report and rectify any deviations or non-conformities in the production process.
• Collaborate closely with the quality control team to maintain consistently high product quality.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery to ensure their reliability.
• Report equipment malfunctions and assist in troubleshooting and repair efforts.
• Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance activities.

Process Optimization:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhanced efficiencies.
• Collaborate effectively with the process improvement team to implement changes and enhancements.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute innovative ideas.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in chemical operations.
• In-depth knowledge of chemical processes and equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Fluent in English.
